Indiana Dunes State Park has this hike called the three dune challenge. They make a big deal about it so I had it in my head that I had to see what all the fuss was about. So after my failed attempt to talk everyone into waiting to go to the beach yesterday until after the dunes I resolved to go before we broke camp this morning. The night before everyone was in for the morning hike but at day break only Marcus and Samus were willing to come along. It was way tougher than I thought it would be, we had walked up Mt. Tom when we first got here and it was bad but I thought well if that's the biggest the whole thing shouldn't be too bad. I was wrong Mt. Holden was just stupid and I really hope I can walk tomorrow for our all day roller coaster extravaganza at Cedar Point. The boys must be part sand lizard because they flew up the dunes pretty easily while I lagged a good 5-10 minutes behind. Every 2 steps I took I slid one back.
Here are some pictures I took on our hike this morning and from the previous two days in Indiana Dunes and Chicago.

Here's a fun fact: I got into some poison oak or poison ivy in Wisconsin Dells. Around my ankles and the holes of my keens on my feet. It's not fun and I keep expecting it to get better but seems like it's getting worse. Never had it before, this trip is just chocked full of firsts. Anyway it's just really itchy, when we are doing something fun I hardly notice
